Mechanical Project Engineer F/M

Description

Reporting to the Curing Oven Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for conducting process engineering studies related to the curing oven area for Isover factories worldwide. You will serve as the key point of reference for this specific process area.


This position requires strong technical expertise and in-depth knowledge of the process, as well as solid organizational, follow-up, and cost-control skills. You will work with your supervisor to define priorities and objectives within the broader scope of departmental programs.


You are expected to deliver progress updates, results, and contribute with innovative technical solutions. This role represents a seasoned engineering professional with a thorough understanding of engineering principles, theories, and their practical application.


You will lead complex projects that demand unique and innovative solutions, often involving collaboration across multiple disciplines or requiring highly specialized knowledge. These projects are frequently of strategic importance to the business.


 


Your Main Responsibilities


Design / Studies / Project Management



  • Recommend the most suitable technologies based on technical and economic analyses

  • Develop project specifications (timeline, budget, performance, safety, etc.) in collaboration with stakeholders

  • Draft technical specifications for equipment

  • Lead design reviews with internal clients

  • Manage interfaces with other disciplines: upstream and downstream processes, civil engineering, utilities

  • Coordinate internal and external detailed studies in accordance with applicable standards


Procurement / Construction / Commissioning / Assistant Technique



  • Assist central technical buyers throughout the tendering process, commissioning, and start-up

  • Provide support to construction and commissioning teams on site

  • Lead technical audit and technique support to Isover factories requirement (major breakdown, audit, major maintenance…)


Continuous Improvement of Tools, Know-How, and Skills



  • Develop tools and methodologies to enhance efficiency

  • Improve available technical solutions to reduce production costs and the carbon footprint of the process
